CBT on Friday

Finally got CBT booked for Friday after changing instructors.

Have bought a 2nd hand Honda CBR 125 to get a bit of road experience before the big test..

Cant wait!! (hopefully Friday will go ok!)

Hubby still doesnt know.......any bright ideas on how i break it to him..?!

My friend suggested i text him to look out of the window as i pull up on the drive...lol

:eek::eek:

CBR125 is an excellent choice of bike! You'll have fun on that!

Um....yea, just turn up i guess. In full leathers. That should help

I'd just turn up. Then you can say that you've passed the CBT, and that might give him some reassurance that you're safe on the road.

I should think parking the bike on the driveway, walking in and shouting 'Hi honey, I'm hoome!' should do it. :D

Good luck.

pull up on the drive and rev the nuts off it, he'll be so euphoric as he'll think you've bought him a lawnmower he won't mind you getting it:)

but seriously, be progressive with the brakes on the emergency stop, control is more important than absolute distance, and use the back brake during the U-turn to stabilise the bike. other than that, HAVE FUN!:D

Good luck with the CBT on Friday.
I convinced my family it was much safer for me to be going round on my 125 than relying on pedal power (i'm in London and trafalgar square isn't much fun on a push bike)
My first bike was the cbr 125. They are great bikes. One thing i'd suggest if you are going to hang on to it for a while is to change the tyres to ones a bit stickier. Makes a massive difference when you are out in the wet.
Hope you get to enjoy zooming around on it at the weekend!

My first bike was a CBR 125 too - they are an absolute hoot to ride. Great fun, weighs next to nothing and with a decent exhaust they even sound half way decent. Just those tyres to get used to, unless you like getting stuck in ruts in the road and enjoy wet weather sliding... still, it's part of the learning experience :)

Mike.

Good luck for Friday, as for the Hubby tell him when you get home its what you want to do as a hobby and he should really support you.
