Who's got the best deals then?

Right things have changed for me so I am thinking, again, about looking for a GSXR. Although recent events with Muffles have made me a little cautious as I too do not have a garage yet.

I have seen brand new K7's for £5999, which sounds quite good to me, but has anyone seen any better deals?

I Bought my K6 at exactly this time last year (To the day, Happy Birthday Skye!! ;)) and got £5,900. BUT, they had already released the K7 at that stage.

If you can wait, I'd say hang on until the K8 is announced. Should affect the discounts on the remaining K7's I'd guess.

(NOTE: The prices also went UP between K6 and K7, so that's a pretty good discount already)

Have a look at the bikemart in the MCN tomorrow...the best deals are usually advertised in there on a wednesday.

Which GSXR? the 600, or 750? I take it you're not talking about the 1000?

The 600 for me, I have only been riding a year and don't think that I could handle a 750, let alone a thou.

I'm going to test drive one first just to make sure that I feel comfortable with the power of the 600 too.

The only trouble with waiting until the K8 is announced is that I might want one of those then. Any idea when it is due to be announced, I cannot find any mention of it anywhere.

You'll love it, but yeah do be careful with security! :)

Speaking to my insurance company, if you have a front or rear garden you can put a bike shed in, they will class it as a garage (although you actually want it as secure as a garage - doesn't matter what they class it). In his words, "if it's got 4 walls and a lockable door, it's a garage".

There should be a way of bolting it to the floor inside so if you could do that, I'd say go for it!

Hmmm - we are currently looking at moving and one of my must haves is a garage so I might hold off.

Although the insurance offer will run out soon which is quite attractive......

Will I ever get a GSXR???

I'm biased, but then you know that :) wait for a garage...

I've just today put a (rental) offer in on a place with a garage...

Whereabouts are you looking at moving to?

Have you had a look at the MCN yet?

My missus wants to move to Cliffe Woods, not far from Rochester.

It's quiet and bring down there so a GSXR might well be a requirement.

I don't really know much about it and I actually like Dartford as it is central to everything, but anything for a quiet life.
