New Rider (to forum)
Hey all! I currently ride a zzr250 in sydney, australia. Been riding for a year now and soon restrictions will be up so I can get whatever I darn well feel like. And I feel like a sv650s :D
I hated the look at first, but its grown on me and I want it bad now. At the bike shop yesterday I was lusting over a 2002 curvy one in good condition. Looked fantastic! I am planning on getting 05+ (black frame) though, so pointy is going to be the way to go. Looking to spend about 7500-8000 aud, depending on the condition. I don't cruise, but I'm known not to push too hard too fast. Hence the decision to get an sv over the 2005 zx6r I would much prefer. But I ride everyday for commuting, and plan on doing some longer trips, and some 2up work. So on that basis the sv is a much better candidate. Alot will come down to the test ride, hoping it will be as much vtwin fun as I imagine it will be, else the 6r will lure me in, throwing practicality and budget to the wind. Been trying to sign up for the forum for a while, but the activator email only just came through for some reason, and emails to admin didn't work as whoever is admin doesn't have a predictable email address (eg. admin@sv650.org, etc.) Anyway, expect me to bombard you (that means YOU) with alot of sv related questions :D Talk more soon.
