Engine removal tool

Does anyone have a engine removal socket (that allows you to remove the engine bolts) that they wish to sell? Preferably in the North east area. If so please contact me with details.

If you are talking about the catsle ones then there is a guy on ebay that does em for about £30 however if it's the spacers the catsle nuts lock onto you cant undo then a 19mm 6 point socket will do them all except the really big one which is a 23mm 6 point socket.

12 point sockets wont work because the corners have been taken off to allow access for the castle nut tool

If it's the one on the swingarm pivot then you want to torque it up on reassembly so you need a socket. I bought one for 50p at a jumble then castellated it myself with a grinder. Not pretty but the right price. Could have been done more neatly in a machine shop if you have a pal with the necessary.

Can imagine sockets being quite hard to machine what with being quite high alloy, have visions of putting it in the mill and seeing a £45 endmill being shredded lol

I'd just use my terrible Halfords angle grinder... It's a job I've been meaning to do for ages but I can't be a***d frankly.

Agree totally.

There's a rake of cheap twisted spanners, bent screwdrivers and knocked up specialist tools in a drawer of my toolchest. Each one has a specific purpose and some will never see the light of day again.

Anyone need a home-made spark plug socket for no. 4 plug of a Vauxhall Magnum 2300?
