Re: HI FLOW oil filter

I have a HiFlo Oil filter on my bike which was all my local-ish bike shop had too (S.R.T in Birkenhead).

They seem a decent enough filter judging by what their website says:

"To achieve and ensure the consistency of our high quality, we use only premium quality materials from well known makers:
Steel from Toyota Tsusho and NKK Japan, Glue from Henkel Germany, paper from Ahlstrom Filtration Finland, Hollingsworth & Vose USA and Awa Paper Japan.
With this high quality, the customer list is extensive and includes car makers such as BMW, Peugeot, Ford, Toyota, Mazda, Suzuki, Nissan and Denso"

As a guess the OEM oil filter may quite possibly be a Hiflo filter, just with Suzuki stamped on it.

Though strangley enough, last time I looked on their site (about 3 months back) they don't seem to manufacture an air filter for the pointy SV only the curvy

Yes they are fine. The curvy SV uses the same filter as the injected.

Are you talking about the oil filter or the air filter?
The Hiflo air filter I have sat on my shelf is completley different to my pointy one even though the part numbers are correct etc.

Yeah but, I wasn't sure if you was refering to me saying:

"Though strangley enough, they don't seem to manufacture an air filter for the pointy SV only the curvy"

As Smudge didn't ask weather or not a curvy oil filter would fit a pointy I though you may of been refering to what I said, I only asked :(
