Good morning.
All professional repair workshops should have insurance against negligence.
However, if anyone suspects that an accident has been caused by negligence on the part of the Garage, then it's up to them to pursue the claim.
There are plenty of 'money grubbers' (solicitors:D). Who would take on such a claim on a no win no fee basis.

Sitting Duck has a point though. If he was TPO then I'd agree that he has to persue the garage himself, but he paid for comprehensive insurance to deal with things like this and it should be up to ebike to sort it out.

Had a quick look through some of the posts on the above link.

Although I would never fall into the "anal" pigeon hole regarding small print etc, on reading some of the replies ref riding other bikes (not owned by them) and carrying pillions etc, it seems like there are some naive peeps out there who really should take 10 mins out and re-read the small print (if having read it in the 1st place).
