Tricky question....
Lowered Fairings or Heli bars.......
Can't get both at the same time, and will end up getting both at some point (or an Aprillia Shiva) But which first? And where would you get your fairing lowers from? Suzuki want £405, not too sure if I trust flea bay....... Come on youse lot, don't let me down! :rave: |
Re: Tricky question....
wait for the Shiver
|
Re: Tricky question....
So, you're thinking of either buying lowers for your SV? or you're gonna wait and buy a naked bike?? Somehow, that doesn't compute, but there ya go ;-) your choice ;-)
Personally I'd go for lowers and a set of crash bungs to protect my investment :) If it's any help I spoke to a guy who bought some lowers for his SV1000 and he said the only thing to watch for was the bottom fixings which seem to snap with alarming regularity. So if you're looking on fleabay then be wary. I think I also heard (on here?) about people flogging the lowers WITHOUT the fixing kit (I'm sure someone said don't buy cos the fixings kits are not sold separately). Cheers, Pete |
Re: Tricky question....
Neither, don't like the look of too much fairing.
Get a can on it and crashbungs, then you'll have some toward the shiva as well :) |
Re: Tricky question....
Well, it's already got:
Quill Ti oval can K+N air filter PC III R+G Bungs Tail Tidy Rear Hugger Fender Extender Belly Pan (black - was going to re-spray, but it's cheaper to buy a blue one) Ohlins Rear Matris Fork Cartridges Irridium Plugs Baglux tank cover Chewy's Wing Mirror extenders OEM Double Bubble HEL Braided Brake Lines Front and Rear The next step for comfort is the Helibars, and I quite like the fairing lowers (and it hides all the little scratches that are apperaing on the frame) The reason I'm thinking about the Shiver is that it won't justy be a naked, BUT it will have 90bhp, a lovely chassis, and great suspension and brakes... |
Re: Tricky question....
Forgot one:
Gel seat - very important!!! |
Re: Tricky question....
leave as is and pocket the ££££
|
Re: Tricky question....
Well, as I have just found a brand new pair of Helibars form under £200, then I went form those.......
I went for comfort! I'm getting old, and I make no appologies for this :chef: |
