SV not starting

Right, problem

moved down to cardiff last wednesday and been settling in so havent used the bike. Its outside under a cover.

So i go to use it five minutes ago, and it wont start. Ignition on, oil/ neutral light on. Push starter, and all i hear is a faint click/ whirry sound

Recently had the cyclone advanced alarm installed, and the only thing i can think of is that the battery has gone flat. I hope its nothing more serious than this. I have a trickle charger on me if this is the case so hook it up to that all day.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what it might be?

also when i turn the ignition on, the alarm does speak, so the battery certainly has something there

The bloke that fitted the alarm did say that the batt was alright, but may need replacing down the line

Sarah, i'm at Senghennydd court, salisbury road. Just started uni here, why the bike has to be outside, no garages or anything. Although saying that i dont have a garage back home either. Where abouts you from? (not that i know much here yet). was just off to the big halfords, near north road maindy is it?

I'm in Atlantic Wharf (South Cardiff).

The Welsh lot (well, more accurately, the lot who live in Wales) meet once a month in Newport, but I'm hoping to convice everyone to meet in Cardiff maybe next month.

It's not far from the centre, 10 min walk, CF24 4DS. It's next to dumfries place, wedged right in the crevice of where the two train tracks part
