GSXR600-K8 Official Pics

Suzuki have put on preview pics of the K8 Gixxer (sorry if its been posted already) - Personal I like it and would be distinctive between its bigger brother for a while. Front and rear body changes look cool, not sure about the exhaust yet as I like the K6/K7 'GP' version, would have to see one to decide.

I will have my SV for a couple of years before getting a Gixxer though, perhaps might be further updated by then.

What do you guys think?

The zorst is a bit of a wreck, and it does look a bit R6-ish, but I do like it!

Not brave enough though.

Great apart from the exhaust.

Why has it grown? Both the 08 and 06/07 bikes meet the Euro 3 rules don't they? I mean it is not like they had to meet higher standards?

Has market research told them that consumers prefer a larger exhaust as it gives the impression of more power?

Or maybe they have found that they can get more power whilst still meeting noise and emissions regs by using that exhaust? Either way I think now they are that size the old cylinder style exhaust looks better.

Don't like the colours, the exhaust is hideous, and as for that back end..........it looks like the martians out of War of the Worlds..............and I don't mean that as a compliment!

And while I'm at it, the front looks like a Sprint ST!

Can you tell I'm not impressed!:D

Some will like it though, just because it's a GSXR, I'm sure.

T'was what I was thinking too. Apparently the bikes only received minor technical improvements as well, so I can't see why that monstrosity is needed.

Fashion and to keep a visual resemblance with its bigger brother perhaps.

Nah, the 1000 zorst isn't anywhere near that bad. Seems to be in competition with the Fireblade for ugliest new bike award.

Ah been waiting for some more shots of this - only seen the one picture that was going around for ages, plus some side shots...

I am undecided on the front, I don't know if it looks right having 3 "ends" or "tips" to the light (left/right/middle). Also it doesn't look quite wide (aggressive?) enough. I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person though!

Rear I don't think looks too different actually, it's just red instead of clear (I prefer the clear). I think it might just be that picture that's making it look odd.

I had heard the exhaust was bigger because some people complained about it being too loud on the K6/K7 - I guess this should pass all track day limits now. The fitment is rumoured to be the same as K6/K7, so you could probably pick up a cheap stubby and fit it.

Anyway this is the last bike I was waiting for, for my Feb/March test rides :D plenty of time to go browse and see the bikes in person!
