pulled up

Riding along and minding my own buisness, when out from behind a fence stepped the nice policeman.Usual questions,is this your bike, where you going, bla bla bla.Was then ask to accompany him across the road to the local school to join the line of other unfortunates who were obvious guility of the most hideous of crimes, that of daring to go out on two wheels.
For every bike that passed that way there must have been 50 cars, but no matter how hard I looked I couldnt see where the line of cars were hiding.
Third time in 4 weeks this has happened.***************ggrrrrrrrr.
Weston-s-Mare.
Bl**dy town is full of boy racers driving round like a bunch of tunes on acid but we are obviously much worse.
Thoughts on this would be good

Re: pulled up

Note the dates and times etc and write to the local Superintendant voicing your concerns about the local boy racers and ask why it is that two wheelers appear to be being victimised.
Get it signed by as many bikers as you can and also send a copy to the local rag so that you're more likely to get a reply (bad publicity won't be welcome).

Re: pulled up

So you were not speeding or anything like that?
I could understand if you were speeding/being an @rse, but as it was only bikes being pulled then I can see this was probably not the case.

So what happened when you got to the school with the other bikers?
Can imagine it would of been quite intimidating/humiliating all those kids gawping at you thinking you're the Devil himself, is that what happened?

If I got pulled i'd of asked him what the charge/reason was if no charge etc, then i'd of told him to get bent (but not in those words) lol.

Re: pulled up

If the officer didn't explain what you were pulled in for then that is something else to question. This was obviously some sort of operation and you should have had that explained to you. :riding:

Take their number and write a complaint - you have no idea how much hassle it is for a copper when a complaint comes in from a law abiding citizen.

xan- that does work!
they hate it when you ask for their number...lol

dont get me wrong i'm not rude to the police, if they are ice to me i'm nice back, but if they get ****ty i get ****ty!, they shouldnt be pulling you over without a valid reason.

I'd be inclined to just ride off slowly and carefully to see if they follow me home, If I'd been pulled that many times in so few weeks. A swift phone call to the local papers usually puts a stop to this sort of victimisation.

Re: pulled up

Under the road traffic, you can be stopped for just a document check that can the reason being used for the stop. Unless you were doing something else, or something on the bike didn't look right. e.g tiny plate

Though you should have been given a reason for being stopped, I think its rude not too, it should be done.

Re: pulled up

what did they do when all parked up? We get stopped up here quite a lot but its usually just for a chat about visors, plates, exhausts, speed etc then sent on our way. not too much of a hassle really. everytime I have been stopped they police have been polite and when it comes down to it, just doing their job.
