What do you all mean when you refer to the curvy tank?

Use search function. Curvy = 02 and earlier, pointy = 03 and later. google search images will also help. Just look at the differences between the older and newer bikes, it will become apparent pretty quick.

okay I see the difference, as far as performance goes is there much of a difference between the years of sv650s? mine is a stock 2006 sv650s

eh.. there is a small difference mostly in gearing and the fact your's is FI and mine is carbed. Some people will also tell you that their bike is faster/better because of it's color, but they are biased. Where in NC are you? I was in Flat Rock this morning picking apples at Sky Top Orchard. I ride around frequently.

just outside raleigh, i'm a new rider had my bike for a week and i just passed the msf today at johnston community college, i'm going to try and get my endorsement tomorrow

I've had a permit for over a year now...i guess i'll get my license sometime. good luck! we have very different laws down here.

not realy, main differnace apart from looks is the curvys have carbs, pointeys are FI
