broken bones question again

i answered a thread a few days ago asking how painful broken bones were can't seem to find it now tho? i answered something like "not very painful, a pulled muscle is worse" how wrong could i be? last night don't know what i did but i couldn't move:confused: the most pain I've ever felt, i got the wife to get me double dose of pain killers which helped;)
my question is "when bones are mending is it normal to get these heavy bouts of pain?"

Why don't you go back to the fracture clinic and ask the consultant?

FWIW when I broke my pelvis - well obviously they couldn't cast it. But it was 6 weeks before it started healing properly, I could then use one crutch only, but it was tiring because the muscle had wasted a bit. It was 8 weeks before I could do very much, and 3 months before I could walk properly as in properly properly.

I have broken a few bones and each time the initial break never hurt that much, just numb....probably due to shock...

Re-alignment and the prolonged piercing aches whilst your healing up are the pain the posterior.

I always found it would be starting to feel ok, and then you would knock it or move awkwardly stretching the fresh bone......AAHHHHHHH the pain memories
