a lathe?

Reason I ask is that I bought a replacement gear selector, one of them folding ones like Raf has on his SV1000. It was only available for the 03 model and I figured it would fit. Oh no it does'nt Didn't think there would be a change with the gear selectors between years #-o

The attachment hole is bigger, so I was thinking of having a copper/metal bush made up that would enable it to fit an 06 model.

Before I contact local fabrication firms in my area I'd thought I'd enquire with the friendly & helpful people here first.
