Scotoiler fitment

Thinking of getting a scottoiler as its nearly new chain time, I want to fit it under the back LHS plastics, where an alarm would normally go, has anybody done this?

why?

by the shock is good, the threaded hole is already there

Chris, either of the locations mentioned is good. You can fit on LHS of shock without removing the rear panels, so it easier.

Advantage of putting behind the rear panels on sub-frame is greater height, but adjusting the flow might be tricky.

There are some photos on here somewhere of both installations, but I can't find them. (useless)

FWIW I put mine next to the rear shock on LHS, it goes behind the little triangular plastic panel under riders seat. Worked fine.

Yes, I have done this on a pointy. Alarm is on the RHS, scottoiler is on the left. Make sure the top of the scottoiler is easily accessible with just the pillion seat off. Easy to refill/alter the flow rate that way. :)

Got one ordered so will have a play when it arrives, the under seat unit looked pretty neat but will check both out.

I fitted mine months ago but dont use it. The bit that feeds the oil on to the chain fell off twice after using the superglue. Can't bring myself to drill the swingarm and cable ties look ****.

With how the rest of the bike looks, cableties fit in quite well

I fitted mine where I could keep an eye on the reservoir...
