Curvy restrictor washers

I have both restrictor washers for carb'd SV's. Taken off my bike last year when she was de-restricted. Therefore I have no need for these now.

Yours for the price of a tank of fuel (£10:thumright:)

Would you take a pair of verniers to them and get an accurate measurement? Thinking of getting a load of them and selling them at cost as FI int. pi$$ me off

Yeah, I can do- probs not this evening as it's dark in the garage now and hard to find stuff!!

FI are rip-off merchants. The restrictors originally cost me £80 plus fitting!
Could've done it myself then got the bike dyno'd to show that it was restricted to 33bhp for a fraction of the cost, of the washers themselves!

Thats what I intend to set up for orgers
Maybe a fiver inc postage then take it to a dyno

Would also like to find a way to attatch some sort of throttle restrictor which can be activated by pressing a button, 70bhp - pulled by coppers - press button - 33bhp. how convenient :-P

You know when a bike is restricted you a get a bit of paper that says it is, if you were to get stopped and asked to show documents, do you think that anyone would know if is restricted or not? Can't see anyone putting it on a dyno to check........that is unless you crash it, then it may be checked.

You know alot of people know not a lot about bikes as it goes anyway.

They can and do take people to dyno stations, if you get somebody who knows bike rules and thinks you're taking the pi$$

You mean cheap restrictor washers or a 33/70 switchable thing?

I'm on with designing one at the moment in between uni work and such, the legality is dubious but I doubt theyd be able to prove anything if it came to court (unless you were clocked at 140mph or something daft)
Will work something like the throttle stop restrictors on the SV1000, except spring loaded, pull a pin out and thats the throttle stop in place and engine making 33bhp.
