Bad bones :(
8 weeks ago today I had my off - I went to the fracture clinic today and saw the surgeon himself s I was all excited.
But, no my arm is NOT showing any signs of healing which he finds odd :( Todays X-ray is exactly the same as the one the day I had me off. I asked about an operation but he says where the break is it may not help with the healing process. My break is actually right on my right shoulder, not under as I thought. So I have to go back to see him in another 3 weeks. He asked me if I could move it but I was told not to so I tried. I could bend my arm from the sling position to half way straight, I couldn't lift it. I have to do light physio else I wil loose movement in my arm even if it is mended .... confused physio wth a broken arm? I have an appointment on Friday morning. Ahhhhhh 8 more weeks off work  and a worried Shell. Has anyone heard of physio on a broken bone, will it not make it worse. Feels yuk when I try to move it. |

Re: Bad bones :(
Aww, no :( Sorry to hear you're not mending Shelley, lets hope it gets better soon! Good luck with the physio on friday :)
Kwak, it's weird but my thumb still doesn't feel 'right' even though it officially is fixed, but apparently the more you use it, the better it will feel which is what people keep telling me. I had absolutely no movement when it had come out of the cast but the physio has helped a lot. |

Re: Bad bones :(
Feel for you Shelly :(
I had physio on my broken collar bone (2nd time), while it was still healing. Sometimes I think they use the physio to make sure you can keep as much movement as possible in you shoulder, if you don't move it, you lose it kinda thing. They won't get you to push it too hard, just move it until it feels slightly painful, then stop and repeat. It does help!!! |
Re: Bad bones :(
Sorry to hear this Shell :( good luck with physio!! keep us updated.

I tried to move my shoulder and it's too painful, feels like moving bones ..... yuk yuk LOL Healing vibes all sucked in, lets hope they work :) Zuky will have to be alone a bit longer. Should I be doing something to her as she has now been left standing 2 months and looks like all winter now ... me not being mechanically minded. |
