rear shock
 

hi there as mentioned in the title i am after uprateing my rear shock on my bike.

i have a curvy sv650n year 2000

any help will be much appreciated

Penske seems to be the best if money is no object, + - 1000.00. If money is an object, get a 2006 or 2007 ZX6 or ZX10 shock; both shocks are three way adjustable. They are generally available on Ebay for + - 50.00; you will need to move the battery box and information on how to do so can be found here

Please remember if you get a shock off another bike such as a ZX6 shock then you will need to modify the battery tray to get it to fit. Its not just take one off and stick another on job. This is due to the different shape of the shock.

Hagon shocks are a good shock and about 250 quid if you want something to stick straight in, Penske, White Power, Ohlins and others are over 450 quid.

Forgot to mention, if you get a ZX10 shock, it is my understanding that it can be installed with less modifications. In either case, it took my mechanic + - 2-3 hours to install a ZX6 shock and modify the battery box. Not that big an undertaking.

thats alright i dont mind getting my hands dirty, cant be that hard to do if someone else has done it it proves that its possible. thanks v much
