Stainless Steel Down Pipes

Are stainless steel downpipes quite rare on bikes other than the sv? I've been reading a few fazer forums and they all seem to be talking about either painting their downpipes, or replacing them with stainless pipes. I find than on my sv, a dab of autosol on a polishing mop for 2 mins once a month keeps them shiney.

I thought that was a bit weird. If suzuki can fit stainless pipes on the bargain basement sv, surely yamaha should put them on their fazers.

the sv arnt s steel, they are a crappy shiney mild steel version, they might have some stainless in them but there not the proper jobbie, easy to keep clean tho if you keep ontop of them.
