I wouldn't, looks like what was on my CG, designed to fit on a luggage rack.

Re: Top Box, ebay bargain any good?
You'll need a rack too. GIVI do the stuff that most folk use, but be careful as there are various GIVI systems out there and not all are mutually compatible. You'll need the "system" for your bike (rails). Then a plate then a topbox. Depending on what you go for, you may have to take the grab rail off.
You can also get more compact units that sit over the rear seat and rear plastics which do not look quite as industrial as the Givi system. I am the proud owner of 2 top boxes. A 36 litre which will fit a helmet and some general stuff. And a 46 which will take 2 helmets or 1 helmet, jacket and boots with some seriously smart packing. Beware of scooter boxes which say they'll take a helmet. Many will take a scooter open face helmet, but not a fullface and bare in mind some helmets are bigger than others (ooh er missus) You'll not have the coolest looking bike, but will suddenly make lots of friends on day rides as you can carry all the waterproofs, maps, mobiles, sandwiches and chippy teas for all your fashion conscious mates. |
