never bought one before so i don't know the ins and outs a bike i'm hoping to buy is a previous cat c how will this affect things ??????

Tbh shouldn't affect bike much apart from the re-sale value could be lower, as long as all work was done properly then it should be sound,If its cat c then haggle with seller/use it as leverage to get a lower buying price

okies cat c-d-bike has been in a accident and has been classed as un-economical to repair (cost of parts and labour out way what it would cost to replace bike) so it gets "written off" and bought by salvage yards etc OR the owner has bought it back, repaired it all and is selling it on.

like paws says they can be a good cheap buy if the work has been done to a good standard, they usually will fetch about 70% of the market value. what bike have you seen and whats the price of it.

this just shows you how the insurance company classed the bike as cat c and how i basicly put it right.

was cat c in 2003 has mot til feb 07 (so not much) condition dunno yet going tonight or tomorrow or there's a naked 2001 y reg tax n test til july 08 also cat c in 2004 really good nick 1200 quid
