Clutch lever removal/fitting
Side stand wasn't down properly & the goddammed bike fell over.
Clutch lever is a bit bent so I need to take it off to unbend it/stick a new one one. Is this an easy job - bearing in mind that there's a cable attached to it? When I fit it back on will I have to do some sort of cable adjustment? Did a quick search on help but didn't find what I was after. |
Re: Clutch lever removal/fitting
Really easy - 10mm Spanner should be all you need,
Done it once myself, about to do it again and most of the SM seem to have done it in the recent past :P |
Re: Clutch lever removal/fitting
cool - so it's an easy peasy job even a monkey could do.....!

Re: Clutch lever removal/fitting
Yep and a monkey using the stock tool kit too - you will need either a second 10mm Spanner or pliers or the like to hold the nut on the back

Re: Clutch lever removal/fitting
Have just done it this afternoon. Will take you about 2 minutes, remove the bolt, line up the slits in the adjuster screw and it'll come out. Just be careful when you put the new lever in as there is a small bit of plastic inside the bracket that moves the clutch switch.
