Banned???
Could someone clarify a querie that i have.
After 18 years of holding my full car license and being a law abiding citizen, it now looks like i'm about to accumilate 6 points in 2 weeks  1st one in the car, 38 in a 30, the stretch always used to be a 40, but was changed a couple of months back, my fault for not noticing the signs. 2nd one caught by a static (well it flashed...fingers crossed it ran out of film lol) again this was in the car, again my fault :toss: My question is...after only passing my bike test 23 months ago will i lose my bike entitlement as it's been less than 2 years :? I'm hoping that at least one of them i'll be offered the chance to do a SAW course...if not....know anyone who wants a triumph daytona  TIA Cuffy |
Re: Banned???
2 years from your FIRST entitlement, ie 18 years ago.

Re: Banned???
Yeah I think Jordan is right, you bike license is purely an endorsement on your original licence.

I was told by my examiner to stay clean for 2 years, I said to him even though I have been driving for 7+ years, and he said yes you will loose your bike entitlement. Possibly just a scare tactic then.:( |
Re: Banned???
Flamin Squirrel is correct. There are people here who have "tested" this theory successfully.

Re: Banned???
i have been driving for 17 years, but only passed my bike test last year, i too was told that if i was to get 6 points in the 1st 2 years it would result in a ban.
my instructor knew i passed my car test years ago. |
