Exhaust for Gen 1

I'm looking for an original stock exhaust for a Gen 1 SV650 naked. Couple of questions.

Is the end can part of the exhaust pipe/header?

Are the silencers for a 1999-2002 interchangeable with...

What's this?

Found this green thing on my new-to-me 2002 naked.
Something to do with the rear brake fluid.
Any ideas what's going on?

Pic of seat lock please. Gen 1.

Could anyone who has a 1999-2002 SV650 do me a couple of pics of how the pillion seat latch under the seat attaches to the bike.
Not sure if it's different between naked and faired. Mine is a naked....

Re: Removing jack up kit

The dog bones are now replaced with standard ones.
In the end I just put the bike on the side stand and lifted the right hand side with a car jack. I did tie the brake lever so the bike wouldn't...

Re: Quiet exhaust

Well, I've tried with the baffle in and also with extra packing around the baffle and it's still to loud for me.
I guess I need to try stock exhaust. If anyone's got one let me know.

Quiet exhaust

I prefer a quiet exhaust. I know I'm in a minority.
My SV650 has a Black Widow can which is incredibly loud. I've just got a baffle for it which is definitely better, but still noisy.
Has anyone...

Thanks. I've been looking at loads of old pics online. Majority the forks are flush or protruding by about half a cm

Hi all

SV650N 2002, K1, naked.

Can anyone tell how much the forks should protrude through the upper yoke.

On mine it is 5/8 of an inch measured excluding the hexagonal section. The previous...

Re: Removing jack up kit

Thanks, I'll take a look at that. Agree about lack of centre stand. It's such a basic piece of equipment and easily removed if not wanted.

Removing jack up kit

Can anyone tell me what is involved and what parts...
