Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Wouldn't any liquid even salt water from the roads? I replaced my AL7 chain at 30k miles - not because it was worn out - it wasn't, merely because I wasn't sure how long a chain is supposed to last....

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

There's only 4 bolts (2 per side) to remove the trim to allow the stand to fit on the Gen3 and they are easily accessible, it only takes a couple of minutes at most. Are you in a hurry? :)

I use...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

I didn't know that the Gunson's Colortune was still on the market. I remember using one back in the 70s.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

I had a similar experience when I had a Street Triple, the dealer (Webbs), who sold me the bike, had stamped the 12k service as being done. I took it to Clive Woods in Swineshead (south Lincs) for...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

I did an oil change to full synthetic oil on the Z900RS. I was apprehensive because several people have experienced a possible airlock in the oil pump and so the oil pressure light remains on (and...

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

Re: What have you tinkered with today?

I inherited a 5ltr can of Redex from my Dad (New Formula! Treats 1000 gallons!!) and it says to add 5ml per gallon. I think it was of the age when it was changing from an upper cylinder lubricant to...
