is it possable that the bottom oring is meant to fit inside the lower part of the bracket to stop the bracket rattling. so it wont matter as the "step" on the bracket will stop the oring rising all...

it comes from being short and bikes that dont tick over properly. i could not put both feet down when i was younger so got in the habit of using the front brake at lights/junctions as i couldn't use...

just "cup" the oring and bracket with one hand while you push the leg up. you could also use masking tape on the outside to hold it in place.

make sure that you get all the old internals back......

SV650X? i think we need a bit more info as in year. but if your on about new gen SV and the galddy then i doubt it but you could always look at some pics and judge.

you do it correctly. mechanics are apes and apply the "tight up till almost stripped thread" principle just in case it comes loose and they get sued.

there should never be a need to use a torque...

its a smile and a gripe. smile is that the car no longer rattles at tickover or knocks over bumps. gripe is that my piggy bank is now 900 lighter. 1900 spent on car this year but its still cheeper...
