Then, spent Easter weekend in hospital with a...

Re: K3 front end

It depends if you buy a complete front end, or if you can source the parts separately as I did. Mine didn’t work out that expensive to be fair, a little while ago but probably came in less than £500....

Fuel pump problem

The bike has been sat for a good few years. Garage stored and started once in a while but not for over a year or more. Last run until the tank ran dry in my garage. I put some fuel in it and threw a...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to be a nuisance neighbour and we try very hard not to be.
I just don’t get people that move to the country from more urban areas, that think they are moving to some...

Re: Electric Vehicles

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Yep, neighbours can be a right PITA.
I am by no means a model neighbour, and don’t pretend to be. I am council house ‘scum’. Our previous neighbour was an ****, when we moved in the fence on our rhs...

Re: Sv650 goat?

I haven’t ridden any of my bikes for a while. I have a vfr400r, a triumph tiger 800, a bmw r850gs, and my sv650.
The sv has and probably always will be my favourite.

The reason I bought it in the...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Good idea, hadnt thought of that. Although the letting agent claim it gets paid when the rent is paid every month so should in theory be paid within a months time, sometimes it isn’t.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Invoices. I do a lot of work for a local letting agent and some invoices are outstanding from a month to 6 weeks. Going away at the weekend and could do with them being paid! Looking into it I am...

Re: Why would rear dampers only be listed for '03 to '07

Think the only difference on frame/bodywork on a pointy is the first year it was made sk3 models. Those had a different rear subframe with different shape infill panel below the seat. The seat may...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Is there photo evidence showing a picture of the zafira?
Many years ago I got a nip through the post claiming I was reversing my sv into a one way street. The nip had a photo of the offending...

Re: "New" second hand car

I don’t know how different they are from the 206, but on those the rear trailing arms are prone to wear. I worked for a courier firm that ran a couple of 206 hdi’s and had one let go on me, felt like...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Our Impreza has about 175k on it. Had it for 15 years when it had 42k on the clock and has been reliable (touch wood)
Most cars if looked after will do 100k plus, but I would stay away from the 1...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

100,000mls on something like a Toyota Yaris or a Suzuki Swift is ok.

My gripe of the day are garage forecourts. Both our Subarus run on super unleaded. Why do most of the smaller garage...
