Default Tuppence Worth

33, South London

For a generic SV650S I got quoted £440 for fully comp with a garage and security on the bike. Thats with a £250 excess, but also includes a £21 premium for Excess Insurance - so no excess really,

Might help that I have had a full license since 1991, however it was also based on a situation where I had only just passed my Bike Test (still to do it hence theoretical)

H+R Insurance near Aberdeen was the best place to try I found.

As for TPFT vs Fully Comp - Fully comp all the way.

Used to work for a Insurance firm, so I ended up with Fully Comp with a 30% protected NCD on day one for peanuts - and they didnt charge me more if I paid monthly via direct deduction from my wages.

TPFT is pointless if the bike is moving - unless its 100% that its the other guys fault and you have proof, otherwise you end up paying for his white van to be fixed and for your own bus fare.
