SV Dan - I call the SV 'well behaved' rather then 'forgiving'. But you're right, in that I felt that the GSXR could be unpredictable on me. That was my feeling rather then the actual behaviour of the bike.

Jonboy - nekkid is a no-no for me. The Bandit showed me that the the neck and arm muscles of a boxer are needed at anything above 85mph and that's not a look I'm striving for. And it just seems to me that the SV1000S is just a bit too...well, middle aged. Just not a hint of potential hoologan about it really.
