My workmate never showed up this morning. I saw her ancient nissan on the hard shoulder of the M40 and it looked like she had rear-ended someone
After a bit of worrying, she phones and says she hasn't in fact been in an accident. She was driving in the fast lane, and due to sheer wind speed, her bonnet tore and buckled in front of her! She managed to get to the hard shoulder safely, and call the RAC. The bloke arrived and confirmed that the hood hadn't popped or come undone, but that the metal had indeed just sheered and buckled into her windscreen!
Crazy...
