All I will say is do the oil/filter and plugs yourself and save a bucket on labour costs. What mileage is your bike at? Valve clearances (or shims) can be tricky and you need to have the correct tools to do it (micrometer?). Also I would try to get someone to show you how to do it as it is quite fiddly (for the beginner like me at least).
I was going to take my bike into a Honda dealership to get serviced, they wanted £250 to change plugs, oil and filter! I did it myself for the sum of £42 and a bit of swearing.
