Welcome to the site.

I'll be the first with the touchpaper... what year/colour did you opt for? *awaits usual arguments of pointies/curvies/colour* hehe.

Test advice? Practice U-Turns until they're coming out your whatsists. Some folks say with revs, some without, whatever does it nice & smooth won't fail your test though. The secret lies in your left hand, clutch control.

Other than that, the test hasn't finished until the examiner (hopefully) has taken your licence away (for a good reason, not a bad one! lol). Don't do what I did & think you've passed only to forget lifesaver & indicators when coming back into the carpark I was lucky, very lucky, that this was put down to test nerves & I passed.

The past is just practice, so get out on those roads, err, your mates drive, as much as you can. Practice will lead to confidence, the best friend of confidence is smoothness. Loads of folks say that the SV isn't the best bike to do your test on, but it should be no problem if you spend long enough on it. If you're having lessons (DAS etc) then use the instructors bike. Saves complications like insurance/L-plates on the SV & having to ride with your instructor.

Good luck with the test, and keep us all posted!
