I managed to drop my bike for the first time today. Partly my own fault, partly a greasy road and party bad signs. I was approachin a bend on a road I'd never ridden before at a reasonable speed and started braking. As I rounded the bend there was a level crossing. I knew the bike would go out on me the second the tyres hit the rails so I braked harder and tried to get the bike as close to upright as possible. The front wheel didn't sgree with this dcision and decided to slip out on me and allow me to meet the road! I was only doing about 20mph when I dropped it and I'm fine apart from a slightly bruised knee and a little dented rpide. The bikes going to need:
New upper right fairing panel
New RHS front indicator
New rear brake lever
And that's about it. So it's not too bad to be honest.
