I once went to a mailing list meetup that turned into a gigantic bar brawl... One guy walked in, said "Hi, I'm so and so" and another guy, who'd decided he hated him despite them having never met, lamped him in the face without even saying a word. Crazy stuff, ended up with half a dozen arrests and 2 guys in hospital
