I blame the roads
If I lock the back wheel, I normally just let the brake off an back on again.
Out on Saturday afternoon with a mate, roads were damp-ish and had a brown trouser moment when the front let go while braking

when my brain registered that the bike was starting to lean over I quickly let the front off.. stood on the back brake, slid all over the place but thankfully it stood the bike up straight!
Went back to look at the road to see if there was derv or something and noticed there was a tar line that joined two patched up bits of the road that went off to the side of the road, think the wheel just followed it
