If it only added 20mins to my journey then i'd take the car on the really bad days but for me it takes 20-30mins to work by bike and about 1-1.5hours in a car depending on how bad the weather is. It seems the more it rains the worse peoples driving becomes too, even on a slow moving dual carriageway.

It also generally means more cars on the roads on the school run so more slow traffic. I commute all year due to the saved time. In 2 years i've saved nearly 3 weeks in travel time. |
