Like others here, I agree with this viewpoint, though its hardly radical Aussie thinking. I can't imagine any western politician would answer any differently if asked whether rules should be made by groups other than parliament. Nice of the Aussies to be straight about it however.

This however (like most of the second paragraph) is completely irrelevant and unrelated to what the politicians said. Nice to see that the author has zero understanding of what a "secular state" is.
