The 'Ally Pally' (now EXCEL) show has always been about accessories & gear as opposed to the actual bikes - if you want that then I guess you should go (have gone) to the NEC.
As for the Superbike Show - never went (it was defunct before I owned a bike) but I have no real wish to pay money to stare at what the Weekend Warriors who
must have the latest 'hot' machine will be riding next year.
But, if you're in the market for such a bike (& I know there a few people who ride them all year
) then I guess it makes sense.
I've got some great bargains over the years from Ally Pally - £800 2 piece leathers for £300 & my current CCC cans for £210 just to mention two.
Excel is far better for me as well - just a straight run up the A13 with only a couple of yellow money boxes to watch out for as opposed to the North Circular where they seem to be every couple of hundred yards or so !!
