WTF does he mean by adapted

Probably means to say he has gone into the can and removed the tack welds or rivet at so the baffle comes out with the front screw taken out. If the cans have ethe same part number as mine then that's almost definitely what has happened I guess.
IIRC some people have done it. If that is the case I think it's just a case of making sure the baffle still sits snuggly/secure with just the adapted screw and nut holding it. I would
not see it as a biggie but I still think they sound just lovely with the baffle insert the Race can has as standard.
