I saw a car reverse into a parked bike today. I know you are thinking and.....

.
Well woman comes round the corner, walks past bike, gets in car, sticks it in reverse and Whack! into bike

. For crying out loud, you just walked past the bike. It wasn't even a case of inching back a slowly.
THE FRIGGING MIRROR IS THERE FOR A REASON
Now the funny bit is she has a look around to see if any one was watching. Looks like she was going to try and pretend nothing happened and carry on. Incase she hadn't noticed me looking at her(I was almost directly opposite on the other side) I told her "she might want to step out and find out what caused the loud noise"

.
I was actually going to put my bike there but decided it was to close to the entrance to the side street. I know it's not an excuse for her not too look but apart from her forgetting about a bike she just walked past, the bike was at risk from the cars that tend to turn in at inappropraite speed/observation.
Same place(well almost) later on another biker went into the side of a car. Car desides to go into the side street well before you would expect. Pelican lights were on Red so decides he should better pull out and race to it before the the went Green for the cars. Didn't even indicate and pulled out as bike was going past

. The bars (Renthal) snapped in half.
Biker was alright but I think it's going to be one of those cases where the insurance company(car) would dispute liabilty as the driver would almost definitely say he was indicating to do a right turn. I arrived just after the incident but the 'How' was relayed to me by a pedestrian who actually witnessed it.
Cheers
