Hi,

Hopefully I've just corrected a 'Novice' mistake. When I do my weekly pamper of the bike on sunday I checked the oil levels 'cold' and thought 'I best top that up!', anywho I noticed a burning smell on the way into work today and realised when I got to work that the back end was covered in oil! I've got limited tools to work on the bike here (at work) but saw this thread and used the 'windowclene bottle' plan. Seemed to work a treat ! Took ages to pump enough out, I really overfilled it by the looks of it. I can now see the top of the oil in the window so gonna 'hit and hope'. I do need to give her a quick clean up before riding out on her today bein the back wheel is still covered in it and clean her off tonight (lovingly!). Just wanted to know if theres anything to be watching out for because of this, should I expect any abnormal engine noise or anything? There wasnt anything mechanically wrong with her on the way in (not that I could tell anyway) so hopefully no harm done??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I get back out on her tonight.

Cheers

Phil
