Drowned SV650 - help needed
My son's SV650S1 (10/2003) was stolen, dumped in the Torrens River and recovered the next day.
The thieves broke the ignition switch and top clamp and blew the fuse in a failed attempt to start it.
I dismantled, cleaned and dried bits as needed. No water got into the engine or fuel tank.
The new parts took a long time to come from Japan.
Reassembled, all seems fine. It turns over but won't start,
Does anyone know if I need to bleed the fuel system, if the tank has been off for a long time? If so, how is this done?
Thanks for any suggestions. (Its not like working on the T250 of my youth).
Best wishes, Ian
