It’s a curvey that I’ve got, I got as for as rinsing it out from the inside & letting it dry, but it doesn’t specify which side to spray the oil, I would’ve thought the dirty side but it’d be quite difficult to get the oil aerosol in there & give it a thorough coating? Or doesn’t it matter as that they haven’t said which side?

You re-oil form the outside. Here you go mate. Explains it well. K+N does say for te SV filter you need about 24ml
