Bought the bike (yellow K1 curvy) 2 yrs ago with 6K on the clock - after being immaculately maintained by its only previous owner. Now done 11K. In that time I have never adjusted the chain. Still got exactly 6 marks showing with no tight spots or stretch. I have to say that by now I was expecting to have to at least have to adjust it - but nop !! Should I be concerned?
I suppose the above could be attributed to (1) Obsessive and regular cleaning (Paraffin) / lubing (2) Not too much violent acceleration and finally (3) treating all mechanical components with the respect they deserve - the hard shoulder of the M5 is a lonely place in Feb !!
