Default Re: Sport Up A SV650s

Sometimes, less is more...

Also what you doing in two years time with your SV ? Standard bike is going to fetch more than a heavily modded one as you are thinking of doing.

Sounds like the bike you are looking at already has some stuff on it, Undertray etc so just keep it simple. One of the sharkskins fairings I've seen does look good though, but as others have said painting it is going to be expensive. Unless you're handy with a spray gun. Prep work is everything though with spraying panels. You can make anything fit, if you are prepared to go all out on it. Bear in mind though that sometimes the race fairings are roughly finished and also the ones I've seen have been very thin. I'd be worried it was all going to vibrate itself to bits if used on the road.

I think what I'd be doing it trying to mock up something like how you think the bikes going to look in photoshop first to give yourself an idea of how it might turn out. Also dont cover the thing in stickers when you're done it just looks sh*t. I reckon the a good paint scheme can really finish a bike off well, if its done right.

At your age, I'd be staying away from performance mods, the insurance is going to cripple you.
