Its just time thats all, if you're prepared to spend upwards of 3 - 4 hours a weekend scrubbing, polishing expelling serious amounts of elbow grease on your bike then it'll look kwak clean to.
Personally I'd rather be riding my bike, however I do like to keep my bike clean. It gets washed once a week, My GSXR's done nearly 10,000 miles now. Heres a pic I took of it this morning after a wash and spruce up
I tend to rinse the worst off, spray with muc off, rinse that off, then wash with a decent car shampoo such as Auto Glym, then rinse again and leave to dry. Then go over all the bodywork plastics with Mr Sheene, clean the wheels frame etc with WD40. Every 3 months or so it gets a light polish with Auto Glymn again and I polish the exhaust pipe ( but not the can as its titanium ) with Autosol and thats about it. Takes an hour or so.
If you look close some of the exhaust header bolts behind the fairing are a little rusty, but TBH how long do you spend looking at a bike, 2 - 3 seconds at a bike meet unless its something uber special and then you move on.
Also keeping it that level of clean needs serious comitment to the cleaning cause.
