I'm utterly amazed at the attitudes shown on this thread. What's wrong with you people?! Loads of you are sounding like safety nazis.

This is a case where the old saying '**** happens' is most apt. If you're not willing to accept that biking caries a risk, then stop riding and buy a car, because if it isnt horse turds it'll be something else that has you off. No amount of legislation is ever going to remove the risks, and encoraging politicians to use their benevolent powers to save us all will only result in biking being banned all together.
