Bike is SV650S K6 - 2006 model - completely standard at this point, but that's going to have to change a little. Having broken both wrists a couple of times, after only half an hour or so of riding, my wrists start to ache.
I've read through the threads about risers from Sun & Banditmania - and, I guess that I want someone to tell me which way to go. I have to be honest and say that the idea of taking a hacksaw to the handlebars fills me with horror - so I will end up getting bike building brother to do the job for me, I'm afraid!
Otherwise, it is possible to put a totally different yoke on the bike?
Brother has also advised me to lower the back end a bit, to enable me to get both feet flat on the floor. I had to put the bike down after my foot slipped on gravel last year and I know that my confidence has taken a bit of a knock as a result.
In some ways I wonder if I would have been better with a bike with a more touring kind of set up - but in my defence, dealers will not let "new passes" try their bikes, so you never know if it will really be the one for you, til you've handed over the cash!
I like the bike though - I could just do with some advice to help tweak it a little.
Anyone???
Thanks!
