Cazrburetor woes
Good evening.
Well, I tried to get the bike going as it's definitely summertime here now, and the throttle was stuck as a stuck thing, so I ordered a new set of throttle cables, assuming that was the trouble. On closer inspection (i.e. dissasembling the front half of the bike (and how in the name of all that's holy do they get that coolant header tank in there??)), however, it appears that the cables are actually ok and the problem is with the front carb.
So, I've taken off the linky arm thingy and established that the rear carb is free and easy, it's just the front that has issues. I've removed the bit that the throttle cables attach to and can't seem to go any further. Clearly, the trouble lies with the rod that goes right through the body of the carb and has the butterfly on it, but I can't work out how to remove the rod so I can clean it up.
Anyway, if anyone has done this sort of thing before and can offer advice, that would be much appreciated. Alternatively, an exploded diagram of the carbs would show me how it's meant to come apart.
Many thanks in advance.
