Not really a gun lover exactly, I've shot a couple but I didn't feel the love... But I love the engineering in them. And these are just beautiful... A last evolution of an idea that was about to become utterly antiquated, but what a piece of engineering. Utterly funtional too. They're all great but the 50's Navies and earlier Patersons, Walkers and Dragoons that led to it are my favourites.
I've got a pretty nice, accurate italian repro Army- nonfiring of course, but they do a live version from mostly the same parts. It came as a kit, and wasn't it lovely assembling it without instructions- all of the Army and Navy models were designed to be impossible to rebuild wrong, and so that you could strip and build one with no tools- you could scrape a coin into shape to do the screws.
You wouldn't want to have to reload one in a hurry, mind... Though you could change cylinders in about 10 seconds with practice.
