Braided hoses and EBC pads sharpened mine up, but TBH just keeping them in good condition by cleaning and lubing the slides / pistons is what counts.
Suspension..... Ohhh a can of worms and sooooo many opinions on this one!

how much you want to spend? Getting the front springs changed to ones that match your weight seems to be best bang / buck but those with a GSX-R front end conversion will tell you that this can be done 'cheaply' by selling off the parts removed to offset the cost. There is also the cartridge emulator route to improve damping without changing forks. Rear suspension is again how much? A ZX10 / Zx636 / GSXR rear shock can be substituted in for improved ride / damping, but there are those who argue a replacement shock specific to the bike is a better option, despite the increased cost.
Exhausts - look in the exhaust section. Everyone has thier own favourite. I have Renegade, which I love. Best thing is to go and listen to a few and decide which you like. Don't expect any power gains.
